My name is Wendy and I'm from Store 6304. I've been designing kitchens since I graduated in 1977.
HOW DID YOU GET YOUR START AS A DESIGNER?
I started drawing with the pencil and moved up to 2020. I think it was in 89 when my grandfather told me, this is a mouse and this is a computer. You're going to design kitchens on there. I was like, ooh.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE CUSTOMER?
He's from actually from Pennsylvania. And, And he has a place down here, and he sends me all of his information. I design his kitchens, and then they ship to Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, and never really have any problems or anything with it.
WHAT'S YOUR ADVICE FOR NEW DESIGNERS?
Design with your book. That's what I always say. And I say you got to design with your book.
WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND HOME DECORATORS COLLECTION?
They're dovetail drawers, soft close on the doors and the drawers, and they're all plywood.
I would put them in my own kitchen. That's what I always would say too. It's a great company!
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE HDC DOOR STYLE TO DECORATE WITH?
I like Home Decorators. I like the Newport White. And that's just because, you know, I've been here for 11 years. We've had so many different hurricanes go through that the insurance companies only pay for the bottom cabinets, the bases. So this is something we can get to them fast. And it's a great product. It really is.
