My name is Anastasia. I've been at this Home Depot (#6324) since 2010. I've been a designer for over 15 years.
WHAT'S YOUR FIRST STEP WITH A NEW CUSTOMER?
I will ask them, "what's their priority?" Time wise, what is their budget, what kind of look they're going for? What kind of features that are going for? Do they want all plywood construction, or do they want all the standard construction such as particle board or engineered board and things like that.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY INCLUDING IN YOUR DESIGNS?
I do like to combine different colors. Also, my first concern is usually a functionality of the kitchen, not the color. Color comes after that. For me, the functionality and the fact that they can use it properly is the most importantly for me. All the decorative parts usually come after that, but I do like combine different colors.
WHAT'S THE BIGGEST MISTAKE A CUSTOMER CAN MAKE?
Not to get everything that they want, because the biggest complaint is the project is finished, that they wanted to have so many drawers and they did not, and it's too late now.
WHAT'S YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR A NEW DESIGNER?
I usually actually ask them to measure one of the displays so they know what to measure, what to expect, and that helps them to start. They can explain to the customer how to measure their space, and they get to get used to those measurements. Basically, they need to know what to look for.
WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND HOME DECORATORS COLLECTION?
Plywood construction, quick delivery, good quality.
