KBIS + IBS 2026 made one thing clear: nature is shaping the future of kitchen design. Across booths, displays, and full kitchen installations, the dominant theme was “bringing the outdoors in”—and it showed up in some of the most timeless, design-forward ways.
Wood tones were everywhere.
From light, natural oak looks to deeper, richer finishes, wood cabinetry, accents, and wall paneling (so, so much paneling!) added warmth and authenticity. These tones helped ground the space and created a welcoming, organic feel that designers and homeowners continue to gravitate toward.
Greens took center stage as a key color direction.
Soft sage, muted olive, and deeper forest tones appeared on cabinetry, tile, and accents. These shades work beautifully as both statement colors and subtle neutrals, offering versatility while reinforcing the connection to nature.
Marble and stone elements were also heavily featured.
Whether through bold veining or softer, understated patterns, these materials added texture and visual interest while maintaining a natural, elevated aesthetic. Stone-inspired surfaces continue to be a go-to for creating kitchens that feel both modern and timeless.
We captured highlights from the show floor in a quick :45 recap video, and this is just the start. Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing ways to translate these trends into real, usable kitchen designs using products, finishes, and combinations you can bring into your projects right away.Stay tuned as we turn this inspiration into practical design ideas you can use every day.
